How to Fill Out the Meal Diary Template

  1. Download the Template:

    • Download the "Excel Meal Diary" template from New Orchards.
  2. Open the Downloaded File:

    • Open the downloaded file on your device (phone, laptop, tablet, or computer).
  3. Enable Editing:

    • If prompted, click "Enable Editing" to start making customizations to the template. This usually appears at the very top of your screen.
  4. Start Date and End Date:

    • Enter the start and end dates for your meal tracking period at the top of the template.
  5. Daily Entries:

    • For each day (Monday through Sunday), fill in what you ate or plan to eat for each meal slot (Breakfast, Snack, Lunch, Snack, Dinner, and late night snacks).
    • Be specific about portion sizes and ingredients if necessary.
  6. Notes Section:

    • Use this section to jot down any additional information such as water intake, exercise details, or any special dietary notes.
  7. Save, Print, or Email:

    • Save the template on your device and keep adding your records as you go about your week.
