- Don't Overmix: Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined. Overmixing can cause the pancakes to be dense.
- Preheat the Griddle: Make sure your griddle or pan is preheated to the right temperature. A drop of water should sizzle and evaporate quickly when it's ready.
- Use a Ladle: Use a ladle to pour the batter onto the griddle for evenly sized pancakes.
- Flip at the Right Time: Wait until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake and the edges look set before flipping.
- Keep Warm: If making a large batch, keep the cooked pancakes warm in a low oven (around 200°F) until ready to serve.
- Experiment with Flavors: Add a splash of vanilla extract or a pinch of cinnamon to the batter for extra flavor.
