Origin of the dish

Ingredients

  • medium-sized carrot
  • 1 piece of potato
  • 1 piece of onion
  • 3 pieces of garlic
  • 200g ground pork
  • 4 tbsp. of flour
  • 2 eggs
  • lumpia wrapper
  • cooking oil
  • all-in-one seasoning
  • 1 tsp. of salt

Directions

  1. Add the 4 tablespoons flour and 2 eggs to the ground pork, minced carrot, minced potato, minced garlic, and minced onion in a mixing bowl. Mix all of the filling ingredients by hand if preferred.

    Tip: If you don't like the feel of the mixture in your hand, you can use the disposable kitchen gloves when blending all ingredients.

  2. For the taste of the lumpia filling, add 1 tablespoon of salt and all-in-one seasoning.

  3. For lumpia rolling, prepare the lumpia wrapper and small amount of water. To roll it precisely, choose a flat surface. Fill one spoonful of filling an inch away from the bottom of the wrapper. Fold in the left and right corners and start rolling up the wrapper from the bottom to the top. Tighten as much as possible and seal the edge with water.

  4. Heat the pan and add a generous amount of cooking oil. Once oil is heated, add the lumpia rolls. It should be deep fried till golden brown.
