Camote roll's primary ingredients – Sweet potatoes, Powdered Milk, Flour, and White Sugar

You will need the four ingredients indicated above to make the camote roll. Sweet potatoes are the main ingredient in this recipe. You won't be able to create this recipe without it. Powdered milk, flour, and white sugar are also its essential ingredients. You may use condensed milk instead of white sugar mixed with powdered milk since it will also be enough for the sweetness of the camote roll. Flour will also be needed since it will help you roll the mashed sweet potatoes more easily.

Cooking Tips

  • Fry the camote roll under medium heat to prevent it from burning.
  • You may add extra sweetener to your camote roll if you want it to be sweeter. In this recipe, since the sweet potatoes in itself are already sweet, we didn't add any extra sweetener except for the listed ingredients.
  • If you deep fry your camote roll, it will be the tastiest. After you deep-fry the sweet potato rolls and if you think there is too much oil, you could use a couple of paper towels to absorb excess oil. Just simply fold the paper towels couple of times and place it on top of your plate before putting the fried sweet potatoes there. It'll help absorb extra oil. • You may also add food coloring to make the inside of your camote roll more appealing. • Melting cheese, such as mozzarella, can also be used.
